Dear friends
I’m Anastarr. I welcome you with full joy to Sacred Skin, Sacred Art. My deepest intention is to provide you with a regenerating, experiential journey that will ignite your senses, awaken your spirit, bring coherence to your mind and reconnect you to the timeless radiance of your inner being.
Behind the Name
Behind my name, Anastarr, is the story of an eternal bond between my beloved mother, Bunnie and myself. Bunnie is our master botanical skincare formulator and globally reknowned alchemist with 30+ years of experience, and a true icon in the Spa industry. The story goes, when my mom was pregnant with me, she was 7 days overdue, convinced it was because she hadn't chosen the right name for me. Then, suddenly, in the middle of the night, she sprouted up from a restless sleep, yelling out ‘ANASTARR’ and immediately went into labor, and I was born.
The name itself is significant and why we chose to name the brand ANASTARR. The word ‘ANA’ means ‘Grace,’ in various languages. ‘STARR’ is a symbol of radiant, bright Light, and is also my mom’s middle name. So the name can be translated as, “The Light of Grace,” a timeless connection that weaves through all aspects of our Sacred brand, truly “Beauty with Grace.”
growing up off the grid
Growing up fully off grid, in a high forested region of the Rocky Mountains at 9,500ft elevation, I’ve always had a deep love and relationship with nature and its life force energy that embraced me. I learned to understand and relate to the geometric patterns found throughout nature in an intimate way that has inspired my hand-drawn artistic expressions. It’s in the wild Rocky Mountains where our skincare products are consciously created, and where we wildcraft and source some of our most dynamic living plant life, straight from nature to your skin.
As I grew, my understanding of the gifts of nature grew under the influence of my mother, a wellness educator and practitioner, who translated her knowledge into skin care formulation and manufacturing. Her roots with spirit and nature ran deep and expressed from a place of science, tradition and intuitive knowing as she created world renowned, magical, healing skin care creations that are found globally in 5-star resort spas and other venues.
Behind the brand
I grew up helping my mom in her lab, learning along the way with my love of herbs, plant and seed oils, and aromatic essential oils that were alchemically blended into pure and amazing skin care products. This inherent knowledge later grew into a passion that now has blossomed into ‘ANASTARR Sacred Skin’ products – a mother-daughter creation and precious gift to share side by side with the energy of sacred art design.
At ANASTARR, we prioritize high intentionality and elevated consciousness first and foremost. All we are and everything we do is done with the highest uplifting and healing intention. To expand the intended healing frequency within each product, an individual sacred geometric line drawing appears on the outer box and label. Inside each box, this energetic frequency is enhanced by a revered, ages old, sacred design that is believed to enhance inner stillness, harmony and light to our total being, expanding our inner and outer radiance.
